I love it!

Big-shouldered chicago-style modernism for the win!

Damn. That is some surprisingly good Vinoly. Referential to the city and new all at once.
It could use a single spire on top to pull it all together. Something a little brawnier than Trump would be perfect.

Either that or something that would put it right in the 1800' range...

113 East Roosevelt Road is the address.

now we just need a tall one for the corner lot

Bitchin!

Randomguy34 Sep 22, 2015 11:26 PM

Damn, now that's a Chicago skyscraper. It easily will be an icon of our skyline 5-10 years from now

To anyone at the meeting: If possible, could you get them to spin the model around and snap a shot of the Northern elevation?

Thanks

Wonderful, almost exactly what I expected based on the teaser leaked on their website and the massing model provided here. Is the park side simply a shear vertical wall? I love how all the massing is pushed to the street on both Roosevelt and Indiana. Makes a lot of sense too because of the obvious preference for south facing exposures in our climate.

The developer is going to make a shit ton of money on this if it is condo because the Southern units will have terraces and sun and the northern units will have park and city views. Nearly all the units will have lake views of some sort except the Western ones which will have nice city views.

What a design!

That's the part I have to keep remembering. This is just for the "middle" lot and the prime Roosevelt/Michigan corner is still TBA (I wonder if they'll even talk about those plans at all tonight).

Overall, looks pretty good so far. And good job on the Sketchup from a long time ago.

Seconded!
I like what I see so far a whole lot, but why would they face the most important and visible side of their tower towards the wall?

Holy shit, Iconic wow.

aaron38 Sep 23, 2015 1:05 AM

Damn! Love the way it walks up away from the lake. And basically calls out for something on the west to rise up and keep it company.
And I love how it makes OMP look small.

eaguir3 Sep 23, 2015 1:06 AM

Oh..my...god! I never comment..but this is amazing lol

And now we know where they are going to put those 1,900 units they were talking about... Talk about a density boost right by the train.
