Throw Tribune East in there as well, I'd say NEMA II but that seems visionary.

Hopefully all four can rise at the same time

Oh man, I need to see Tribune East built! Like that is number 1 on my wish list haha.

Related was pushing for 80/20 legislation (tax breaks) in Springfield to move several of their projects forward. Now that the 80/20 law has passed, I'm guessing these will get off the starting block. The tax break offsets the costly affordable-housing requirements in the city's ARO.

Related knows how to take advantage of this tax break, since they also work in NYC where they've had a similar program for several years.

I'm pulling for 725 W Randolph but I think that one may take longer, with the Equinox brand cachet seriously tarnished (the most luxurious way to catch Covid!).

I have it on good word this is shooting for a 2022 groundbreaking. Happy New Year!

The height reduction still stings a lot.

Nice if true, although that's when it's always been supposed to start. Just the taller tower I'm assuming? Where did you hear this?

Cool! Thanks for the info, but "2022" is still a pretty wide open time window at the moment, did you happen to hear anything more specific for the targeted start, like Q2 or Q4?

Awesome. This is really a stunning design. Easily my favorite since Vista and IMO, way ahead of One Chicago Square or Tribune...

This is a beautiful project.

Agreed.

Hopefully they start with the taller tower first (I think I've read somewhere on SSP that this is the case, if anyone can confirm or deny that would be swell), and if sales go well, they can potentially upgrade the height of the shorter 2nd tower to the 950-1050 ft range.

Wishful thinking perhaps.

Are the renderings on the first page the most recent?

Razorback Jan 6, 2022 3:39 PM

I think this project is slated to be an all rental property.

That last render really shows to me anyway that the difference in height cut is do to the podium missing! This has been my most anticipated project since Vista and i pray this gets off the ground in 2022

thanks sentinel..

And how much chunkier the massing is now that the setbacks start higher on each tower.

I also can confirm that the ball in starting to role on this one...
