I'm surprised at how thick this is given the narrow parcel of land. Does it hang out over the sidewalk along Wacker a la Civic Opera House or do they plan on extending this over the River somehow?

Looks really good...great height too..finally breaking 800ft for an office tower!...Im hoping this starts the trend of pushing height limits higher in the loop proper in regards to recent construction

I don't understand how a 52 story office tower will be 800 feet tall. 300 N. LaSalle has 60 stories and is 785 feet. Have floor heights gone up by that much?

I actually like the General Growth building, but this proposal seems like a great replacement. I like the riverwalk, too, maybe it'll encourage the buildings north of Randolph to open up their private ones. I wonder if there's any way they could be connected through/around the bridgehouses. I actually had totally forgotten that there was a tiny patch of riverwalk (or riverside patios, basically) north of Randolph. I wonder if they'll keep the riverwalk at street level or at the lower level. Looks like street level in the image, but not exactly perfectly clear.

I wonder where they measure the height from? Lower Wacker? Upper Wacker? River level? This does have a really tall lobby.

This looks very promising, even if it is a bit UBS 2.0, as someone said earlier.

And decent height too. 800' is a bit more than I was expecting.

I'll Wait until I see the other side, seems pretty good so far.

Mid-rise will have about 28,000 sq ft per floor.
High-rise will have about 26,000 sq ft per floor.

Like it! West side base reminds me a bit of Riverline project.

I like it. Plus another see-through lobby is never a bad thing. Fingers crossed.

Wrong thread - I like General Growth - but this looks pretty nice, lots of public space.

Nice to see an office tower of this size.... I hope it stays well above the 800 foot mark!

There were no dissenters amongst the crowd this evening. There were a few questions about logistics and it was mentioned that Lower Wacker would be used as much as possible. Also the 50' high section you see on the north side will be built last as that area will also be used for construction staging.
