Weigel-Rixon doesn't seem to have reopened elsewhere after it closed in 1923; the Chester Williams Building still stands.

Does anyone know what theater this is? (note the large eagle with light bulbs)

I thought it would be interesting to try and locate this extra-wide dead end street, but so far I haven't had any luck.

Per Historic Los Angeles Theatres:

"American Theatre, 452 S. Broadway, running from about 1910 through at least 1925. Seating: 500. Status: Demolished for the Chester Williams Building built on the northeast corner of Broadway and 5th in 1926. There's an existing one story building (450 S. Broadway) just north of the theatre site that dates from 1908. It appears in the photos as two stories -- it evidently lost the top one at some time."

Looks like Ivar Avenue, with the Alto Nido Apartments on the top left. Ivar curves right to Franklin Avenue near Vine Street. The Hollywood Hills are in the distance above Franklin.

Since 28th Street and Burlington don't intersect, I'm wondering if this view is in the Westlake district or in the University district
down on 28th (or in either)...anyway, I'd love to know what those pillars led to. At top is another ebay card described on the
back as "Burlington and 7th"--the lawns look awfully broad for Westlake/Pico-Union, but knowing that quite a few ancient
houses still exist in these precincts, I looked for evidence of any of these, to no avail.
