It looks like 5 'levels' but the top 3 are smaller, the equivalent of the larger 2.

Thus far the height looks the same to me.

I was kinda on the fence about this tower, but seeing it creeping it up to it's final height has me liking it much more now. It really stands above it's neighbors and has it's own local presence that's easily seen from the Kennedy. I too am looking forward to some bad-ass crown lighting.

Reasonable argument. Some new angles. I feel like it's a 'bit' taller than in the site 3d rendering and stacking plan. The height above the elevator core is most noticeable - especially because the 4th 'level' under construction matches where the 4th level on the stacking plan.

But people can decide for themselves.

Ok, just measuring pixels Richochet seems right as they're about equal. But the elevator thing is throwing me off.

In the 3d rendering there are actually 5 sections from the setback as they start from the base of the railings. It sorta seems like construction follows the 3d rendering then, and that there is an additional section on top of the stacking plan in both of those.

In any case I think it's turning out pretty nice.

Veeeeery interesting. Looks a bit different than the stacking plan for the crown. Eg https://www.333wolfpoint.com/wp-cont...cking-Plan.pdf

Looks like 5 'levels' on the top instead of 4. Also the height of the top of the crown above the concrete elevator shaft looks a bit taller via the drawing just eyeballing.

Did they go a bit taller? Is this the additional 15' or is this another 15' on top of that? Very interested to learn the final height.

Regardless I think the crown lighting on this one is gonna kick some ***.

The mechanical floor looks really well done with the vents. If only Regis had that :uhh:

Recently took a walk (03/22/22). Will try to upload other projects shortly.

The street (bridge?) feel from Lake and Randolph with WPS now built feels a big 'magical' to me. IT's gonna be even more impressive once the lights are on in WPS.

Oh man, that is an amazing shot. And a nice vantage point!

^ I'll echo that. What a shot!

That's one perfectly menacing March sky.

The skyscrapers are nice too.

It really is. I saw it from the brown line today coming from Sedgwick. This cluster really sticks out from there right in front of the Sears Tower.

If you haven't been down there yet, standing at wolf point in front of the tower at night is pretty amazing. Down by the water, but surrounded by these huge towers, with just enough distance across the river to get some perspective. It feels like being in an enormous room.

Yea I got the same feeling too, especially along the bridges on the immediate South Branch. I love the 'inside' feeling when you're outside in a big urban environment. 110 Wacker also adds to as it's a bit behind you while WPS is ahead of you.

Sorry for the shitty picture (lots of trees and Flickr seems to downgrade embeds on free accounts), but this sort of illustrates what I was trying to say about this blue box cluster really sticking out in front of the Sears Tower and this tower is gonna be the crown jewel of the bunch.

From today on the brown line.

Nice pic. I've seen this from the same spot on the Brown Line. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It looks better than expected from that angle.
