Nice one dude. Go to Central Camera on Wabash for your tripod.

To add to your suggestions, being patient helps a lot too. Compose, keep your camera level, keep your elbows in, core tight. A lot of modern consumer cameras can pull of that low light image just fine if you just focus on not rushing to take the photo.

Hate to interrupt this thread, and these amazing photos, to talk about 110 N Wacker, but that tower (110 N Wacker) is going to have a dramatic impact on this vantage point. Have never considered this before.

Thanks for the update as always Solar...Does anyone else find it unfathomable that those inner two columns and the weight carrying above it are supported by those two thin columns and cantilevered over a thin piece of concrete? If someone could explain the engineering there I'd appreciate it.

I thought the same thing when those crane segments were resting on the Southern pool deck cantilever near the crane as well. I guess the obvious answer would be "today's reinforced concrete is really strong"..but I still cant wrap my head around it.

Great observation. If anything, you'd think there would be a transfer floor where the columns increase in size. Anyone? Bueller?

I would guess that it has something to do with some hidden shear walls connected to the core. Like the ones you can see outlined with rebar in this photo from Aug 15.
