Really empty streets are a great place for opportunistic prowling criminals, especially criminals armed and driving around looking for a victim. It is a good idea to have an overnight curfew to give police an enforcement tool that ensures only people who need to be out at that hour are allowed to be out.

Chicago also stopped ticketing for parking infractions a few days ago.

Italy has also been much better about testing than the US, and has about 1/5 the population.

I was saying that the US does not have the legal right nor the logistical power to actually force a nationwide lockdown and simply requesting the voluntary lockdowns are more effective and more legal.

There was never really a serious chance of containing a virus this contagious which such a long incubation.

Yeah, same with the city of Los Angeles and other LA County cities beginning 3/16/20.

If you have a lead foot (like me), this is probably your moment to go for it. Some departments are pulling back on writing tickets for minor traffic infractions.

I suppose they could wait until the toilet paper runs out, and people have to go outside to pick leaves off the ground to wipe? I live in the suburbs, with a big yard, so I could pee outside (save on the water bill) or just go take a dump in my neighbors yard right by the bamboo plants.
