Did the zoning app list architect? Onni has a history of working with Pappageorge Haymes and HPA for it's resi projects in Chicago.

Superb. The Chicago Ave boom continues, pushing to Ogden. With the towers on Ogden/Fulton also planned (600'+), the urban core is emphatically jumping the river. Also an Onni project, so it will probably get built fast. Onni - the JDL of Canada :)

It has no name at the moment. Waterway residential is just a zoning designation for planned developments located along bodies of water

Between this, Halsted Pointe, and what Shapack is proposing we're talking about 6500 units proposed right there. Plus the Bally's Casino hotel. I think this is 10+ high rises (many of which are 400-600 feet) proposed for this area now..

^ Bally's PD allows for 6000 units, so combined with all the other proposals that's 12,500 units in an area that's roughly 80 acres!

Wishful thinking probably, but I would love to see the city get their shit together for a North Branch transitway.

This is a different proposal. It's sandwiched between Goose Island and the Bally's site along Chicago Ave.

It seems the North Branch will be the next frontier. This area could be a beehive of activity in a year or two but It'll take a decade + to get all this built.

Probably three decades if it’s business as usual, but who knows.

Yes indeed I am wrong, sorry. I assumed it was the Goose Island project probably because I’m surprised we have yet another project on the river at that same area. Great news, a new neighborhood is emerging.

You have 700 W. Chicago taller than the main tower of Halsted Point. Remember, that one will stretch to 694'.

Presentation given on Oct 3rd at The River Ecology and Governance Task Force Development Review Working Group (mouthful). The development will be called Halsted Landing. Will be built in 3 phases, with phase 1 encompassing the northern subarea, along the river.

The Applicant requests an amendment to the existing planned development to permit the construction of a multi-building planned development across multiple sub-areas with a maximum height of 650 feet and consisting of 2,451 dwelling units, 1,950 parking spaces, 280 hotel keys, commercial and retail uses with accessory and incidental uses. A 3.1 FAR (Floor Area Ratio) bonus will be taken and the maximum overall FAR of the planned development will be 8.1.

You are correct, the max height for this development was originally 600 ft.

Went to a meeting in LakeView about the Belmont project and it's the same zoning attorney.

It was the developers decision and I believe it'll be on April or May's agenda.

I've heard that Onni have said that they are committed to starting (maybe finishing) Halsted Point before they kick off 700 West.
