WOODSTOCK, Ontario |

Woodstock began as a town plot laid out by Lieutenant Governor Simcoe in 1792. The plots were positioned in an effort to provide connections between early settlements in the interior of Upper Canada. He named the main road connection Dundas Street and the city of Woodstock developed along this street. Today, many historic buildings line the street in the downtown core. Woodstock is situated at the intersection of two of Canada’s busiest highways (401 and 403) and continues to grow and attract investment. |
