WATERFORD, Ontario
A quaint town located on Nanticoke Creek, Waterford is off the main highways that pass through the area. The relationship between the width of the main street and the building massing is intriguing. Though most buildings are two storeys in height, some have a height equivalent to a three storey building. The resulting canyon effect, unexpected for such a small community, and the fact that the main commercial street is not a major thoroughfare, make the main street a pleasant experience. At the end of the main commercial strip is a renovated factory turned antique shopping mall.
