TRENTON, Ontario
Despite being surrounded by waterways and boaters, Trenton isn’t very vibrant. The main street has some life but it also has frequent vacant storefronts. A lot of the historic architecture is gone, replaced by ugly single storey buildings. Even the monumental Romanesque post office was demolished, except the clock tower, and replaced with a parking garage. One place where there’s progress is the waterfront, with new public spaces along the river.
