Port Hope is one of Ontario's most historic towns. Its main street, Walton St.,
was recognized by TVOntario as the best preserved main street in the province. Walton St. is dominated by Georgian
architecture and is busy with tourists and locals alike. The town sits in a valley crossed by two viaducts carrying
the CN and CP mainlines. A must-see is the Capitol Theatre, Canada's last operating atmospheric theatre.
