NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario |
|
Niagara Falls is somewhat of a two-faced city. On one side, there are intense bright lights, a forest of newly built skyscrapers, nostagia galore. On the other side is a neglected downtown core in a desolate state not unlike Brantford's downtown core. Architecturally speaking, the skyscrapers are mostly of a post-modern design while other buildings in the area are non-descript or Disneyesque in design. The real downtown of Niagara Falls contains the standard fare of southern Ontario architecture with Italianate windows, some art-deco pieces, and a few aluminum siding frosted and particle board facades. |
