Mitchell has an interesting downtown that is in a state of both preservation and disrepair. Many of the commercial buildings are of Renaissance style, some of which have been glazed by aluminum siding. Some are in good condition and some have seen better days but the jewel of the downtown is a Second Empire style hotel that has been beautifully restored. |
