Markdale is home to the small publication "The Curious Country Shopper", an advertising paper that focuses on the unique stores that abound in many of Ontario's small towns. Of particular interest in Markdale is the grand arches window treatment on the Bank of Montreal building and a now obsolete fire hall that is similar to the one in Millbrook. |
