LAKEFIELD, Ontario
Lakefield is a busy waterfront village that serves as a gateway to the Kawartha Lakes. The town has a rich literary history, being the past home of authors Margaret Laurence, Catherine Parr Traill and Susanna Moodie. It also has an industrial heritage due to its location on a riverside rail corridor that is now used as recreational path.
