Ingersoll was named after Thomas Ingersoll, a native of Massachusetts who migrated to the area following the American Revolution and developed a new settlement along the Thames River in Oxford County. Thomas Ingersoll is also the father of Laura Secord. Long known for its production of cheese and dairy products, the town is the current home of CAMI Automotive. |
