Hastings has an impressive setting along a narrow part of the Trent River. The river is lined with parks and old houses that are used as bed and breakfasts. Downtown hasn't cashed in on the setting; it's composed mainly of low-rent shops and some nice Renaissance buildings that are in need of maintenance. |
