The steel city of Canada, Hamilton often has a negative image due to the heavy industry that travellers see from the Burlington Skyway when they pass by the city.
However, there are many architectural gems in downtown Hamilton and the density of the core and Hess Village is quite impressive. Currently, Hamilton is experiencing a
renaissance in the core area with redevelopment of old warehouses and vacant office buildings into loft condominiums.
This is due in large part to City Hall's successful incentive programs. |
