GODERICH, Ontario |
|
|
Often described as the prettiest town in Ontario, Goderich has a reputation to uphold. The town was laid out with a central radial pattern leading outward to a standard grid. Many of the houses that surround the downtown are beautiful old stone or brick buildings of various styles. The downtown commercial core itself is predominately of Renaissance style. From the perspective of architecture, it is difficult to define Goderich as being Ontario's prettiest town though it would likely be in the top ten. However, from the perspective of urban design the town plan is excellent and unique. |
