The original townsite of Fort Erie is currently not much more than an abnormally high concentration of Chinese restaurants and a once grand hotel turned strip club, and an old theatre turned storefront. A larger commercial core area can be found further north near the rail bridge to the United States. This commercial area is struggling to survive in the face of modern big-box development. Arechitecturally speaking, there is nothing extraordinary about the downtown. |
