ELORA, Ontario
A very well preserved village, Elora has been able to capitalize on heritage tourism without the creation of attractions such as the St. Jacobs Outlet Mall and Farmer's Market. Some of the oldest structures in town are the Elora Mill and the Dalby House built in the 1860s. The mill has been transformed into a beautiful inn and fine dining restaurant with an excellent view of the nearby rapids. Other older stone buildings have been adaptively reused after years of neglect.
