COBOURG, Ontario
Cobourg is a historic shipping centre with almost no trace of industry left at its waterfront. The harbour is now overlooked by condominiums and attracts boaters and tourists. Next to the harbour is one of the finest urban beaches in Ontario. King Street is lined with well-maintained Victorian buildings, but the highlight is Victoria Hall. This imposing Palladian building opened in 1860.
