COBDEN, Ontario |
Cobden started to develop in the mid-1800s because of its location on a portage route by-passing
rapids on the Ottawa River. Today the same rapids are one of the most popular whitewater rafting spots in North America.
Cobden is the seat of the Township of Whitewater Region, which despite its name is mostly flat farmland.
