CAMBRIDGE, Ontario
Cambridge is a city that was created through the amalgamation of three smaller towns in 1973, Galt (the largest of the three), Preston and Hespeler. There is still quite a lot of space to grow between the towns.
Galt, the largest of the three amalgamated towns contains a beautiful downtown dominated by stone buildings and a large church beside the Grand River. Galt is also home to the University of Waterloo's School of Architecture, which took residence in an old factory which was originally destined to become lofts. Hespeler is the second largest of the three amalgamated towns while Preston is the smallest.
