CAMBRIDGE, Ontario |
|
Cambridge is a city that was created by the amalgamation of three smaller towns in 1973: Galt (the largest of the three), Preston and Hespeler.
There is still quite a lot of space between the towns. Galt contains a beautiful downtown dominated by stone buildings and a large church beside
the Grand River. It is also home to the University of Waterloo's School of Architecture, which took residence in an old factory that was
originally destined to become lofts. Hespeler is the second largest of the three amalgamated towns while Preston is the smallest. |
