Downtown Bowmanville is characterized by Georgian and Renaissance architecture. It has a similar look to nearby towns along the Lake Ontario shore such as Port Hope and Cobourg, but it is not as tourist-oriented. The main street has a healthy mix of shops ranging from art galleries to convenience stores, plus a retail conversion of a riverside mill. |
