One of the most historic towns in the province, Amherstburg is home to the oldest house in southwestern Ontario. Several buildings in the town pre-date the War of 1812 and much of the downtown core is preserved under heritage designation. New condominium buildings are being built in a way to fit in nicely with the historic structures surrounding. |
