He's Canadian. He, like everyone else, can visit Cuba without a problem. Only US citizens can't. It totally sucks for us, because of our own stupid foreign policy.

Damn Ian, you're on a roll! A great photo roll. Nice to see the cliche of the patchwork survival of the great American cruiser cars in Cuba is as true as the import of cheap newer Chinese ones seems to be as well. Btw, does anyone know the current state of use of the US embassy there? That's one sweet mid-century modernist building to me!

Is it possible to enter Cuba from another country than the USA or you can not visit period if you are a resident?

Many, if not most of those cars are probably heavily modified, especially underneath the hood. Because these cars are American, there aren't parts readily available. Many of them are diesels and some of them have been retrofitted with engines from Korea, China, and Russia. Also, many of them are rusted out, due to the salt and just being down near the ocean. They still look pretty sharp, though!!

Havana blew me away when I went there. I love how the urban fabric has been preserved at a time when other countries were demolishing their cities to make way for the car. I didn't like Revolution Square though, one giant parking lot in the middle of nowhere. That portion of the tour I was in was a waste of time.
