I can now see Northshore (and the new public library?) from my apartment. Going to enjoy seeing it go up from now on.

*sorry for the blur

Kevin, I think we need to flag this for heated debate in the transportation thread.

It's definitely a trolling post that can be easily refuted.

Nice. I like the views from the northwest corner of downtown.

Check this out. The W almost looks transparent. Also, check out the sleet from this morning on the roofs.

Cool photo looking up Lamar toward Downtown. I found this on the Big Red Dog site.

So I count at least 16 cranes that you could see from Barton Creek Mall, and that's without all the others that will go up soon. Most of the ones the ones that are up now are going to be up for a while, too.

The Northshore crane on San Antonio St. is pretty far up there now.

I uploaded one from the plane in lower res in the Fairmont thread, but here are the rest. Sorry for exhaust blur.

I like this one the most. (Even caught a train going over the bridge.)

How the heck are you going to find your bike amongst the herd, especially after the drinking and smoking? Or can you bikers hone in on your bikes like bats to their pups?

Yeah, you just have to remember where you parked it. I actually really hate leaving it for long. I know it looks like a POS, but I wouldn't trade it for a car. I've got an old (1985) Raleigh Elkhorn - back when they were still made in the US that I bought from a guy in the neighborhood 5 years ago. I had a blast riding around today. Those concerts get so packed with bikes. I've seen people put them up in trees and chain them up there, or hang them over the fence. It's crazy.

A lot of Christopher Sherman's drone photos have been posted here, now the Statesman has an article about his photography:

That was a great article. It's nice to associate a face to the name. And I want to especially thank you for posting it. Otherwise, most of us wouldn't be able to read the article in it's entirety because - as it notes

You mean like this? (Zilker Park Blues on the Green, June 2013)
