Don't know if this has been mentioned before but that Observation Level is really the 101st floor - the 102nd floor is the outdoor platform/parapet above.

For extra $20.00, I want to go up to the parapet too!

Look ->

Why no one says the real number of the ESB? 96? 97?

Just imagine what the ESB would look like without all of the profitable transmission antenna/equipment up there ...

The Empire State Building is Uber’s top tourist destination

By David Meyer
December 3, 2019

Quote:
Next time King Kong is in town, he’ll probably take an Uber.

The Empire State Building was been named by the ride-hail app service as the number one tourist attraction in the world that its users traveled to in 2019, the company said in a blog post Tuesday.

Lower Manhattan’s six-year-old Freedom Tower took the number two spot on the list followed by non-New York destinations like the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace and the Vatican.

New York City tourists and residents took just over 600,000 ride-hail trips with Uber and its competitors in 2018, a 37 percent increase from 2017 and a 137 percent jump from 2017, according to city data.

Yet while the Empire State Building’s distinction may be Uber’s top tourist destination, the state’s most Ubered-to location isn’t in Manhattan — it’s Elmhurst’s 967,000-square-foot Queens Center Mall.

Wow! Surprised though that your allowed to fly a drone so carefree around Manhattan, noticed a lot of folks do it. Also surprised that so many office lights are on during this time.

You aren't. There are really only 2 parks in the entire city where you can legally fly a drone.

Under what phase of New York State's phased reopening will the observation deck of the Empire State Building be allowed to reopen.

I'm glad they started lighting the HALO again. For a while it wasn't being lit and a bit too dark between the spire and antenna!
