I like the cutout midway down this side of the model. It's like they carved out the block shape for the crown from this flank.

I believe so, yes. It's over on 2nd street in the AMLI on 2nd building, where the old St. Bernard store was.

Nice. I had assumed before these renderings were released that the tower would be more slender and square shaped. This is showing it with some bulk. Notice how much it juts out in front of Windsor on the Lake. Also, this one has an interesting facade with the balconies and that notch. It's a pretty beefy building actually. I like the glass parapet at the top also.

I'm liking this one more and more. I wonder what their price points will be.

It appears that the small public parking lot on the site has closed. At least LAZ no longer lists it on their website.

The Statesman just posted an article about 44 East. This is the second recent article that mentions an October start date. I've been thinking this project was most likely to start in Q1 2020. But maybe it will actually start in October even though there has been no permit activity related to demo/utilities.

I wanna say that I saw a crawler crane up next to Windsor when I was on 35 earlier. Not sure if it was actually on the site or if it was something else but it looked like it was in that general area. I haven't driven by the site recently.

This one is good to go.

Stein said financing is in place, by a syndication of banks led by Bank of Montreal/Harris Bank. The tower is expected to be completed in late 2022.

A lot of different height numbers have been thrown out by the developer and local media. The thread title is going by the last publicly released elevations. But the final elevations have not been released because the site plan hasn't been approved.

Also, height allowances get approved in Austin based on the main roof height. Mechanical penthouses are exempt in every case, except when a capitol view corridor is concerned. The main roof height is, or was, 549 feet, while it topped out at 585 feet to the mechanical screen. If it did drop in height, which is possible since the recent articles on it stated it was a "49-story tower" - then it would likely still be taller than 520 feet since that's likely only the main roof height.

It's time to change the title to Demo/under construction. I saw from 35 that there is definitely work occurring on site, they have fencing up with pictures of the tower, a crawler crane and other heavy equipment. This one is a go!!!

Ugh I forgot about 48 East, that has to be what I saw. That area is going to be one condensed cluster of towers.

They had their opening of the sales center tonight. It's at 3rd and Guad and has a full size replica of an extremely efficient and elegant 2/2 built out within it. Seems as though the ball is stuck in the city's hands for a few things at the moment but they hope to begin demo within the next month. Such a good looking building, can't wait to see it rise.

Towers has some new photos of the model. I'm really liking the texture of the facade on this one.
