2014 CFL season

I will start the upcoming season thread again seems to be a tradition of mine on here now.

Will Argos move to BMO and hook up with MLSE as owners?

Who will be the Bombers new coach and will they be able to pick up a decent quarterback ala Zach Collaros or Kevin Glenn?

What kind of roster will Ottawa have after the dispersal draft and Canadian draft and who will be their starting QB?

Will Tim Horton's field and Frank Clair stadium be ready for the 2014 season?

With the lucrative new TSN TV contract kicking in now what kind of raise will CFL players get since the current team salary caps are $4.4 million before the TV deal?

Is Troy Smith capable of making the Alouettes a contender again with the likely retirement of Calvillo?

Now that TSN has lost NHL, will they pour more resources into CFL? I would think so.

Will Rogers give the Argos a fair shake in terms of game scheduling?

(Answer: No.)

How exactly does the expansion draft work?
Each team gets to protect 1 quarterback, one kicker or punter but not both, and 12 other players, but if you lose either of your quarterback or a kicker you cannot lose the other protected quarterback/kicker?

Eskimos hire Chris Jones, who was the defensive coordinator in Toronto last year, as their new head coach.

Love the hire as an Eskimos fan. Now let's get some wins next year for crying out loud!

On that note, I should've remembered that 9 teams means an unbalanced schedule, and thus a greater possibility of having games that don't fall on a weekend. Still, the CFL schedule will basically have to be built around Toronto as per usual, on whatever dates Rogers happens to leave open to the Argos.

With Hamilton and Ottawa still finishing up their stadiums, we could see both of these teams go on an extended road slate to begin the season. Perhaps the Riders would even welcome Hamilton back for the season opener, if the CFL reprises that semi-tradition.

Personally, I'd like to see the Riders go out to either B.C. or Calgary in the first month of the season. That would be ideal to plan a trip around and meet some friends.

I think Toronto will move to BMO field eventually but not next season.

I do think Ottawas Will be ready for sure, but Maybe Hamiltons will be delayed a bit.

As for Future teams, I REALLY REALLY hope Halifax can get something going for a stadium, it doesn't need to be like our future one here in Regina, but maybe something more around the lines of Ottawas.

I like the tradition of a Grey Cup rematch in the first week.
I'm looking forward to the 2 new stadiums opening in 2014.
I'm going to predict major movement regarding a stadium for Halifax in the coming year as well. Wishful thinking perhaps but man I hope it happens.

Lions on the prowl for a new O.C. after a 'mutual parting of the ways' with Chapdelaine.

Apparently they're very interested in LaPo.

But so is Montreal. It'll be interesting to see who gets him.

Mike O'Shea new Bombers coach. Interesting hire very innovative special teams coach I hope this helps us sign Collaros at QB. He said the identity of the club will be strong defense and special teams a lunch pale club that really fits the identity of what Winnipeg is.

I'm really excited for this season. Lots of coaching changes and I can't wait to see how the Ottawa Redblacks change the league. Teams will be very different come December 16.

Ottawa taking Winnipeg players actually helps the Bombers since our team was so awful last year it can only help us. Just sucks for Ottawa that they have to choose Winnipeg players in the draft, I guess they can release them at training camp.
