I believe it's Derek McQuaid who is also the franchisee for A&W.

Win/Lose. East Side is a good restaurant, I wonder if they'll relocate. Giant Tiger is a huge win for the city though!!

Good to see the PEI thread arising like Lazarus from the dead.

I rarely get over to the island anymore and have stopped contributing, but I'm still interested in what's going on.........

From what I understand the Murphy's are closing Eastsides for good but looking for a new location for ISE's. The Great Canadian Dollar Store is moving from Stratford into the old Fabricville location and Dollarama is moving to Stratford. From what I hear Fabricville is looking for a new location.

I don't imagine it should be very hard for Fabricville to find a new location. There is a tone of places, even owned by the same landlord Plaza REIT. The rest is just a big game of musical chairs.

H&M and Urban Planet should bring a lot of life to the mall. Honestly, probably as much as Target did. Different demographic, and one better suited for malls. I hope this can be the start of attracting some stores like, West 49, HMV, Spencer's etc.

Stand alone restaurant/fast food of some sort???

Was in the Stratford Sobey's today and between the Sobey's Extra expansion and all the other construction it was very very busy.

That plan was pre roundabout, sure things have changed since then.

Looks like it is just the extension of the parking lot into the grassed area.

I wonder why they chose Stratford as their location for Sobeys Extra?

I would guess its the oldest location in the Charlottetown area and needed a refresh and expansion. Eventually all Sobeys will be "Extra".
