don't like the current "bug-eyed" headlight and taillight trend like the new camry and upcoming 4runner.

I like the Infiniti, its unique. As you said Mancuso "bug eyed" lights are horrible. Don't care much for the 4Runner, never did, never will.

In America, the whole retro thing is based on getting now-affluent baby boomers (men, mostly, born between 1945 and 1965 or so) to buy the car they dreamed of driving in the 1950s, 1960s and, in some cases, 1970s when they couldn't afford it. I have a second home in a retirement area in Arizona and the place is crawling not only with new "retro" models (including lots of PT Cruisers) but also plenty of genuine restored vintage-mobiles. It's actually a great place for the genuine semi-antiques because the dry climate (and absence of snow or road salt) keeps them spotlessly rust-free.

Somehow, I doubt the same generation in Europe experienced the same love affair with cars.

We all remember the Pontiac G8. Now I bring you the HSV E Series 2 line up. This will make you really sad.

HSV GTS

HSV Maloo R8

HSV Senator Signature

HSV ClubSport R8 Touring

HSV Grange

HSV ClubSport R8

Some of the meanest looking cars and we'll never see them.

I just hate the direction Rolls Royce is going with their designs (as I said before). They just look cheap.

I hope these 'hatchback' sedans (whatever you call them) don't catch on...

Agreed. That Bugatti, the BMW above, and the Porsche Panamera are some of the ugliest designs I've ever seen. They're so ugly that they aren't even worthy of a Subaru badge.

I don't like all the hatchbacks. Not really a fan of those.

^ I much prefer Ford's 'open mouth' than Mazda's happy face.
