Concrete construction question for Dsmmace maybe. When they are doing stairwells for buildings like Agriculture place, do they form and pour the stairs in place or do they use pre cast stair sections and pour around them / place them after the stairwell walls?

Most stairs are precast, I believe. I know a building I am involved with is using precast. I will see if I can spot how AP is doing it.

I noticed they are forming the 3rd storey floor (2nd storey ceiling) this week.

Most are precast or have toppings on a metal frame. Decisions appear to be based on open public view or the volume of usage.

Expect this building to rise swiftly out of the ground as of today, I predict a level every two weeks at the most.

Has there been any announcement regarding, other than the Green Spot Cafe, who will be locating to the retail portion of the project? What are the streetscape requirements for Agriculture Place regarding Trees and benches? Hill Tower III initially showed way more trees and what resulted looks lacking and bare. I hope Harvard won't cheap out on this, this time.

Awesome picture, Stormer.

PCL is taking advantage of the very mild stretch of weather to start making some serious progress. You will see later today on the 24 hour delay webcam that they started to form the 6th floor yesterday.

I expect with the weather, they are also moving faster on the stadium as well.

They have been working some extended hours and through the weekends. Like I said, a floor a week unless there in a weather or supplier delays.

One more floor, then the crane will be lifted 100'. (Once it dries.)

The tower should be twice the height as it is right now , with that tall roof line

Cross over bridge to the other tower should start on the next floor (7th). - if the original plans mean anything.

This will most likely be the last office tower built for awhile , but one never knows , the next cranes up could be the twin residential towers , this 11th ave beauty will add to the amazing collection of scrapers in the city centre

Are you talking about the residential proposal being a beauty? It's serviceable... and isn't completely terrible... but I think it's a ways away from being included in the "beauty" category.

Forming the 8th floor tonight, although they have not finished pouring the 7th. they are really moving though.

They started applying the glazing on the alley side. It l looks identical to the other tower, but no sign of the pink granite accents found on the original, yet:

Edit: Looking at the renders, I would say there is not granite on Tower 2. That should make it look less 90's IMO.
