This doesn't look too bad. Good density filler.

I dont know why but 1000 Bay seems to work really well in the context of its surroundings. Typically, I dont like jenga style buildings but this one is nicely restrained.

Does anyone have the total number of 100m+ under construction/prep in toronto at this time. It might be a wrong impression of mine but it seems that there are less 100m+ actually under construction/prep than there used to be and the toronto threads seem to have more approved/proposed and less uc/prep than there were. Is this impression of mine accurate or not. Does anyone have the actual numbers of current 100m+ uc/prep in toronto, much thanks

The SSP database says 60 under construction 100m+. They'd be a few that more that are under going site prep.

The number I get is 57 U/C plus 2 on hold (Harmony Village twins 102 metres each)

That's not just an impression. For the past several years there were 140 - 160 high-rise towers U/C at any given time. But lately that number has decreased to around 120 - 130. But there are more proposals than ever before, and a bunch are in site prep as isaidso said.

Here is a list:

CIBC Square 1 - 239 metres
The Well Office - 172 metres
The Well Residential 1 - 153 metres
The Well Residential 2 - 135 metres
Aukland House - 134 metres
Halo on Yonge - 131 metres
New Toronto Courthouse - 124 metres
Bloorview Vista - 123 metres
The Lakeshore Condos - 120 metres
Max Condos - 114 metres
Islington Terrace - 114 metres
Whitehaus - 101 metres
____________________________

12

184 metres - 88 North - phase 1 (95 metres) is now U/C, I think the North tower is phase 3, not sure how long till it may start
170 metres - 8 Cumberland - recently given the green light by the City, could begin construction at any time
168 metres - 31A Parliament - recently given the green light by the OMB, could begin construction at any time
165 metres - 10 St. Mary - recently given the green light by the OMB, could begin construction at any time
158 metres - 48 Scollard - recently given the green light by the City, could begin construction at any time
145 metres - 415 King W - recently given the green light by the OMB, could begin construction at any time
141 metres - Bay Adelaide N - a very reliable source says this will begin construction Q3
127 metres - Garrison Point 1 and Novus 1 & 2- phase 1 (124 & 106 metres) is now U/C, I'm not certain when tower 1 or Novus 1 & 2 will begin
121 metres - 57 Spadina - recently given the green light by the OMB, could begin construction at any time
115 metres - 30 Erskine - recently given the green light by the OMB, could begin construction at any time
_________________________

another dozen or so

Also - there are several dozen more towers lined up for a hearing at the OMB, and a whole bunch will likely begin construction soon after getting a go-ahead

In total that's 59 plus 12 or 24 more = 71 or 83, but that number is constantly changing on a weekly or even daily basis...

Thanks for the reply, seems toronto is still very active then. Lots of new proposals is always a good sign, if they were to dry up it would be a bigger worry than a slight fall in uc, so all in all nothing to worry about it seems, thats good
