Where that Currie's was, is now the hipster restaurant/bar called Home. Though the railroad bridge is now long gone, you can still see remnants of its foundations on the hillside there.

ninja55! i am speechless. thank you so much for sharing these amazing family photographs with us. they are all fantastic and mesmerizing to look at and study.

once again, thank you for posting them......i am completely at a loss of words, which doesn't happen very often(or so i have been told)

Lost in perspective. The "then" photo appears to be shot from across the street, while the "now" google street view is, well, shot from the street, so being closer to the building, the building obscures the mountains. Not to mention the trees...
