St. Paul's in Halifax, built in 1749. The oldest Protestant church in Canada:

I've also always liked this little building on the Dalhousie campus, the University Club:

Similar but it's a combination of art, science, music, and engineering. Check out the website for more details here... http://beakerhead.com/about/what-is-beakerhead/

It's a pretty awesome event.

And Surreal, really great pics, but the whole purpose of this thread is to ensure no mass posts of photos are made. The general max here seems to be 4, with an absolute max probably being 5 as a general rule. Sorry to harp.

Had to look again for the first one... it's Niagara and Bathurst. The second is Monteith just off of Church in the Gay Village.

Rats?

Don't have the 4 legged variety in even the seediest parts of Calgary and in my 54 years in Alberta, I've never actually seen a real, live rat - I'll assume that's a good thing that we don't have them.

Anyhow, a morning sunrise from earlier this week in Calgary...

^ Consider yourself lucky. I never saw rats growing up in Kelowna, but once I moved to Vancouver I'd see them downtown, especially in the Lower Main area. Anyone remember the circus that was the Main St. Burger King parking lot? We saw a rat and seagull fight over a bag of Burger King. That was a low point in my life. Those poor, confused animals.

Rat life is piss poor in Calgary. They all moved to Vancouver.

The worst time in Vancouver for rats was the last garbage strike. They were everywhere at night, especially on the beaches for some reason.

I don't see them very often now but walking at night I tend to see one around the Law Courts on a regular basis.
