They were talking about this with Mayor Savage on CTV News this evening, and no, according to him, HRM has not yet received a business plan.

In any event, if the stars align and the Atlantic Schooners call Moncton home for the 2020 season (and maybe the 2021 season), you can mark me down for two seasons ticket packages as soon as they become available.

Anyone else???

I'd definitely consider it, depending on price. There's no doubt I'd be at a few games regardless.

Why not show your support now and put a $50 refundable season ticket deposit like those of us in Halifax.

https://www1.ticketmaster.ca/event/3...BF5?dma_id=522

The more season ticket deposits will show support to Halifax Council that will ultimately decide whether you see the Schooners play ever.

Simple - I would definitely be a seasons ticket holder for the seasons played in Moncton, but I would not be a seasons ticket holder once the team moves to Halifax. The 500 km round trip every two weeks would not be appealing.

I would certainly take in a game or two every season once the team moves, but nothing beyond that.

I would guess that 98% of season ticket holders would live within 100 km of the stadium. I also don't expect a significant number of Haligonians wending their way up to Moncton during the first 1-2 seasons either, certainly no more than a couple of thousand.........

Yeah I'm not in a position to travel to Halifax every couple of weeks but will attend all Moncton games, which are walking distance from my house.

I think the implication was that you put $50 down on a deposit to show support for the team without having to go through with the full cost of season tickets when/if that possibility comes up.

Does a person get their 50 bucks back when they don't follow through by buying a season ticket?

Also correct.

Atlantic Schooners 2021 Season Seat Deposit

Please note If Maritime Football is awarded a CFL franchise, we expect to announce ticket prices well in advance of the club's inaugural season.

When the season ticket seat selection occurs, you can request and receive a refund of your season ticket seat deposit (less any transactional/payment processing fees) if you do not want to purchase season tickets. In addition, if the CFL does not grant Maritime Football a CFL franchise, your deposit will be refunded to you.

Should the allotted season ticket seat deposits sell out, fans may sign up for the waiting list to be next in line as season tickets become available. The waiting list is free for fans to sign up for.

Atlantic Canada Venue TBD

Event Info

Your Season Ticket Per Seat Deposit will secure your opportunity to participate in the season ticket membership selection process for the CFL Atlantic football team.

Upon setting up an account and making your season ticket seat deposit(s), a priority registration number shall be provided to you that reserves your place in line to select available season tickets during the seat selection process. Priority numbers are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Priority numbers are assigned per account, not by the number of seat deposits placed.

The season ticket seat deposit places you on the priority list for season ticket membership. The earlier you make your deposit, the lower your priority number, and the earlier you will be offered the opportunity to make your season ticket seat selection. Season tickets are in high demand which could prevent accounts with higher numbered priority numbers from receiving tickets.

Presser in Moncton on Friday

Looks like some movement is imminent:

Anyone willing to wager this is more than just the awarding of the Touchdown Atlantic game?

Only 16 000 tickets? I thought the stadium could expand to 20 000 ?

It can be, but they probably don't think they can sell 20,000 tickets.

The third TD Atlantic had fewer than 20,000 seats too.

10,000 permanent seats and they can add 5000 bleacher seats at each end zones. If I remember correctly, they added only 1/2 size end zone bleacher seat last time.

Depending on how many of my kids and their significant others might be going, I'll be down for 4-6 tickets.
