The terrace is certainly worth a visit in the summer. It is a garden-type restaurant on one side and the pool (with bar service) on the other. The restaurant terrace is open to all but the pool only to guests of the hotel.

Ah ok. Thanks for this, I'll check it out this summer now that my favourite roof top bar is closed (Hotel de la montagne).

But it is very different. There is no grand view from the terrace. It is more like the Latini terrace but on the 10th or 12th floor.

The construction of these condos have been quick and they look very well built.

I was with my wife and we went inside a development condo in the area and we're very curious on purchasing it when maybe the 2nt or 3rd phase is done being built.

Le 1000 La Gauchetière s'impose ici comme une évidence qui sera bientôt camouflée.

Sachant que certains le détestent - je suis assez neutre là-dessus - il est amusant de constater qu'il ait l'honneur d'être un des immeubles intégrés au logo du site...

Moi, j'aime bien le 1000 de cet angle et vue depuis le nord. Parcontre, depuis ma jeunesse je savais qu'il y avait quelque chose qui clochait avec ses façades est et ouest. Comme si les architectes avait oublier que le peuple ne le regarderais pas de ces angles.

Au moins on ne peut pas dire que le 1000 n'est pas emblématique, ça silhouette est très évidente de le skyline, on ne peut pas le manquer. En faite, s'était le premier gratte-ciel qui j'avais appeler "mon préféré". Ensuite les nuances de la CIBC et la Bourse et ensuite les petits gratte-ciel du vieux Montreal se sont démarquer. Enfin, le 1000 est un bon "starter", comme une introduction qui mène a d'autre et meilleurs découvertes.
