New Performing Arts Center - Broadway Style Theater
The New Performing Arts Center will be a 2,500 seat theater in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. The PAC will provide needed facilities for first run Broadway tours, as well concerts and many other events. The PAC will include roof top green space, exterior balconies, rehearsal space and a "winter garden" type lobby. The PAC will also engage, and enliven Regent St. including Regent St theater access and Regent St retail space. The addition of the PAC will free up much needed space at other downtown theater venues such as Capital Theater and Rose Wagner theater, these theaters are home to many local performing arts organizations, including Ballet West, and The Utah Opera at The Capital Theater.
The New Performing Arts Center is being developed by Salt Lake City, and will be managed by Salt Lake County and scheduled to open in 2016.
111 MAIN and the New Performing Arts Center are two separate development projects that are working in conjunction with one another in order to stream line the overall construction timeline.
