I take this road to work every morning. With the beautiful morning light, I decided to bring my camera with me. Was I lucky. I saw a steam train passing. Not something you see every day.
Indeed you were lucky; not only did you see a steam train, you saw it in perfect light for excellent photos. That's an exceptionally beautiful place; where is it?

It is in the South of the Netherlands near a tiny village called Langeweg and that is near a bigger village called Zevenbergen.
^^^^^have you not seen the thread he did of that Airshow..some amazing shots and no doubt the shots from 2012 show will be cool.
Nice train shot...Yanke....man.
Thanks. It had rained earlier that day, so there was a ton of moisture in the air, hence the vapor cloud that formed as the jet was approaching Mach 1. (It didn't actually reach Mach 1 because that would create sonic booms and break a lot of windows.)
One of the first and also last remaining Victorian homes in the Houston Heights neighborhood. I believe this house one of the original 12 built in the streetcar suburb. And Im moving just down the street from this house in a week! Cant wait.

Some untouched Facebook uploads from Tokyo. I took about 2500 photos during my week there, so it might be quite some time before I edit, upload to Flickr, and post to SSP.
