Not fine!
It rises out of a low-slung podium that totally destroys the formerly intact street-wall along Madison Avenue.
It's the kind of development that would be fine in the Midwest, but is completely out of place in Manhattan, where urban form is crucial; a development's relationship to its surroundings is important when considering its impact on the city, and this building does not relate, at all.
The tower in and of itself is not terrible, it's just not respectful of the location or context.
