I know the area well, my wife used to live a few blocks away. It's actually quite nice there, although there are a few buildings nearby that could do with being torn down. I agree though, that picture doesn't paint the nicest of images.

I used to live very close by and let me assure you that this location is indeed awful. This stretch is desolate and unwalkable.
