The Tower turned out stunning. it truly is a symbol of the new Vietnam

and the lighting is amazing

and the helipad only look abit akward from certain angles.

very nice tower, still don't know how Vietnam manages to afford these things. But cool nonetheless.

The Bitexco Financial Tower was officially opened on Oct 31, 2010, but the dress rehearsal the night before was a much better show. It had been raining earlier in the day, so when it cleared, the streets were full of people enjoying a clear cool evening. We were attracted by the lights, and joined thousands of people watching as huge searchlights lit the tower and the clouds above.

Unfortunately, it rained the next night, so the opening ceremonies were much less impressive (at least from the outside).

The tower certainly dominates the HCMC skyline. No doubt it will irrevocably change the nature of the surrounding blocks as old buildings are replaced by new...
