It's funny....and a bit sad....how much excitement the erection of a blue metal fence can create in Saskatoon! But I AM happy to see even this level of progress! Hope to see excavators there real soon!

Remember the collective cardiac arrest when they did some earthwork last fall on the site?

Just in case mere talk of blue construction fencing wasn't enough for you, here's proof that it's actually there:

There are also Stuart Olson signs on the north east corner saying welcome to our worksite and some typical do not enter signs. Basicly just waiting for equipment now. Maybe by the end of September they will be digging?

It's a blistering pace comparatively. Also I just said the bit about Stuart Olson in case some people here were wondering. I find often we ask who the contractors and such are.

^^^^Looks great.

Stormer, I had to scroll right to see the traffic bridge remnant in the rendering. On first viewing, it just looked to be missing altogether.

Interesting that the rendering shows window wall as opposed to curtainwall for the condo. Certainly more affordable, but not keeping in line with a bunch of upper end condos elsewhere. Not that it matters, or that most people would know the difference, but the Lake Placid plans had curtainwall throughout their condo building.

The description on the website now says a 16 story Condo versus the 19 that had been early suggested. Oh well....IF they EVER build the office component as presented in the artist rendering, that will make up for the underwhelming condo!!

It will be very interesting to see where they decide to price the condos at....

I actually had no idea what you are talking about, but there is actually a thread on this. Good catch!

Full page ad in today's Star Phoenix in the Homes section (page E7) for No1 Riverlanding condo project. I guess this REALLY is happening. Indicates prices will start in the mid $200,000 range, but does not say for what square footage. (I'm thinking under 600 sq feet, but just a guess). Sorry...could not find a link to ad page on Star Phoenix website.

I tried to 'register' yesterday on their website, and it all seemed to work, but I did not get the 'confirmation' email back that it said was required to activate. Tried a couple of times but each time no email to my inbox. Hope they get that fixed.

I am excited to see this started!!!

misread the article. Its pretty cool to see how many people are interested in the condo tower. this might spark more interest for more developers to bring out projects like this in the future. It does also mention a fitness center, is this the motion fitness weve been hearing about thats going downtown? or is this a private fitness center like most condos have.
