Those three cities certainly have plenty to like about them!

(and I'm still jealous of the Seattle bus tunnel... I want that for Michigan Avenue!)

Incredible thread... the PNW knows how to do cities. Each photo is a treasure.

And this woman is awesome

Why do you call Portland a small big city? Both Vancouver and Seattle are larger than Portland and both Vancouver and Seattle's Metro populations are bigger than Metro Portland's.
Shut up.

Vancouver and Portland = The Pink

Seattle = The Stink

Excuse me? How does the fact that both Metro Vancouver and Metro Seattle are larger than Metro Portland offend you?

Very strange.

Thanks.

Giallo, I went but I had to leave before I could go up. Didn't look like too much of a hip hop crowd there anyway.

^That city shot is the bane of my existence. I have never EVER experienced a people jam like I do when walking home from work.

It's a happy problem to have.

Great post, though! And that first picture shows my current and last place of employment. Yay, Belltown and yay Uptown!

I used to live next to the Pike Place Market, and walk through the Main Arcade on the way to things a lot. Now THAT is a people jam.

Fantastical photos... looks like I've missed some interesting spots since I last in Portland. You pretty much captured Vancouver as it is; looks great bathed in sunlight.
