I shot this at too high of an ISO and too small of an aperture. I need to reshoot it.

Not really Portland architecture, but at least I got the "panoramic" part of it right...right?

Anyway, is this as big as flickr will let me go? Oh well. I guess you can always just zoom in on your browser.

How much more appealing that field would be with a few more towers around it...Like on the Oregonian bunkers, and the Allegro actually built, oh, and git rid of that hideous MAC building and put in more seating and a tower on the corner.

100 photo panorama of Portland from Vista Bridge

Here is a 100 photo panorama of Portland from the Vista Bridge. The panorama has some image quality problems because it was taken at ISO 400 on a bridge with some vibration. Use your scroll wheel on your mouse to quickly zoom in and out.

Portland city skyline from the Vista bridge

Gerding Theater mezzanine

I have some better panoramas that I took with a Canon 5D mark II and a 600mm f/4L lens. They are very large and I have had some problems uploading them to the gigapan site. If I am not able to upload them soon, I will serve them from my web site.

South Waterfront to Montgomery Park from Mt. Tabor

I took the photos that comprise this pano (12 photos at 250mm) back in September. Click for a larger version (7621x533). The true full-size is too big to upload (at least to any of the free photo-hosting sites I use).

233 photo panorama Portland Skyline from West Hills

I took this 233 photo panoramic with a Canon 5D mark II and a Canon 600mm f4/L lens.

1. Click the button on the far right to go full screen ( best )
2. Use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out
3. Drag the image with your mouse to move around

Can you find the silhouettes of people and see the paintings on the wall? I am planning on making a 1200mm photo soon since I have gained experience doing these 600mm panoramics.

Wow. That is impressive. Pretty much puts anything I could ever hope to do to shame!

Do you own the 600mm f/4L? I've never even heard of a 1200mm. That would be interesting to see. What ISO was this pano shot at? The images look really clean/noise-free. Anyway, great job. Thanks for posting.

That is unbelievable. You can clearly see the Budweiser sign in Hollywood (just above the Eliot Tower).

I rented the 600mm lens

I rented the Canon 600mm f4/L lens. It is about a $12,000 list and $7,700 street price lens.
I shot it at ISO 4000, 1/10s, f4.
I would use a 2x teleconverter connected to the 600mm lens. It depends which configuration gives me the best quality image.
The color balance needs work due to the sodium lighting.
