That's awesome news.
It's also old news from nearly four months ago.

Based on the COA GIS the Road Class is the same as those surrounding it: A40- Local City/County Street.

To compare I checked the Domain, all those streets are Private as I previously stated.
Domain Dr is classed: A60-Private Road

I tried to Google the street sign color difference and its meaning but did not find an answer but its not because its private.

Demolition has started

I was driving down Cesar Chavez this morning, and I caught a glimpse of the site. A big orange home wrecker was parked in front of the empty house closest to Cesar Chavez. The house had some damage done to it.

Demolition actually started within a few months of the project announcement. The house that used to be closest to Cesar Chavez was the first to go.

Good to see demolition proceeding. I'd like it to speed up rather than do one building every couple of weeks.

The house is now completely gone.

I'd love to hear any new updates regarding the specifics of this project. Are the most recent renderings the final design or are they still making changes? Are the floor counts final? When it first was announced they said could have up to 60 floors when all is said and done. How much longer will the permitting process with the city take?

I'm sure most people here may not have all the answers but there must be a couple of lurkers that do know whats up. It's unlikely they would say anything but here's hoping.

I'm pretty sure they're still working on the details. The site plan hasn't even been approved and released yet. The only heights I've seen were associated with a stacking plan.

If the below info has been posted before, I apologize. It was taken from a marketing package for Waller that was prepared in February 2014, so the info may have changed. Summarized from the below images of the tables and descriptions:

Tower A: 21 stories, Building height (mechanical) 258', T.O.P. Height not listed, Actual Elevation 719'

Tower B: 45 stories, Building height (mechanical) 483.14', T.O.P. Height 501.14', Actual Elevation 933.47'

Tower C: 52 stories, Building height (mechanical) 573.8', T.O.P. Height 575.8', Actual Elevation 1,034.8'

Building D: 2 stories, no building height listed, no T.O.P. height listed, Actual Elevation 453'

The Sutton Company changed their Facebook profile picture on 09/03 to this rendering, so I guess this is still the most recent rendering:

More progress! From yesterday, before and after shots. Tried to align POV from Google Streetview image as closely as possible. Got pretty close! I really hope they bury those fugly lines.

I hope they don't stop there and wait awhile like they did after the first house was knocked down.

I give it a 7. Having lived in NYC for 18 years I know the importance of ground level retail. Where is it?

The difference between this project, and your favorite proposal to doubt (the Fairmont for those not keeping up) is that this one has financing.

I can see it. I don't know what you're looking at. Maybe it's because they don't have fake store or coffee shop names on the first floor of the renderings?
