New win, place, and show skyscrapers in American/Canadian cities

I'd like to see pictures and discuss all the cities that have a significant skyscraper that's either under construction or has been added to the skyline recently. By "significant" I mean one of the three tallest hence win place and show. Here's the list of all the cities + buildings I know of:

Chicago-Vista Tower
Toronto-The One
Los Angeles-Wilshire Grand
Philadelphia-Comcast Tech Center
Edmonton-Stantec Tower + JW Marriott Hotel
Seattle-Rainier Square Tower
Miami-Panorama Tower
Jersey City-99 Hudson St + URBY Harborside Tower I
Calgary-Brookfield Place + Telus Sky
San Francisco-Salesforce Tower + 181 Fremont
Winnipeg-Artis Reit Residential Tower
New York City-Central Park Tower + Steinway Tower
Vancouver-Trump Tower + One Burrard Place
Austin-The Independent + Fairmont Hotel
Boston-Four Seasons Hotel

Vista Tower in Chicago continues its facade-less climb. About 30 floors to go as of this picture.

The amazing thing I noticed today as I wandered through the roof garden of the new Salesforce Transit Center, to which both 181 Fremont and the Salesforce Tower itself have direct access, is how much taller both buildings look from the garden than they even do from the street:

^^
But, while these two towers are now virtually complete, let's not forget their U/C neighbor, across Mission St., the Foster & Partners designed, 910 ft Oceanwide Center:

The Independent - 690 feet with 58 floors - all residential. New tallest beating The Austonian that had been the tallest since 2010.

Fairmont Hotel - 595 feet 37 floors to the spire/456 feet to the roof. Tallest hotel in Austin and the 3rd tallest building with the spire.

Of course, both of these will be passed up in a couple of years by at least two other buildings.

The Independent (left) and Fairmont Hotel (big blue building with the spire, right).

Not only lots of biggies now (7 over 700 feet tall) but some cool looking ones too

I knew I would forget something and Milwaukee is it because i've actually been following it although I didn't know Baltimore and Nashville are getting some biggies too. Baltimore is especially encouraging because it's one of the quietest cities in America for growth.

yeah, the philly skyline is making some serious noise these days

it now has the 5th most 700+ footers in the nation, after NYC (80), chicago (25), houston (11) and LA (9).

and with 4 towers over 800' tall, it's now 3rd behind only NYC (42) and chicago (16) in that category.

1 Bloor East, Toronto

1 Bloor East, 257m, is located on the southeast corner of Bloor and Yonge. It's the tall building in the photo below, centre right.

None of the buildings on the left side of this photo existed before 2004. On the right, the only notable one that was there in 2004 is that wide white one in the background, which is one of our convention hotels. In 2004, that one was the 4th tallest building in the city and the tallest and largest hotel in Austin. Today, that building is our 22nd tallest building and 3rd tallest hotel and 3rd largest hotel.

And of course, a lot of the buildings in the middle didn't exist before 2004 either, and the only breakout one in that area that year was the Frost Bank Tower. In 2004, Austin had 2 buildings over 400 feet, including the Frost Bank Tower at 516 feet, which was the tallest at the time. Today, we have 17 buildings over 400 feet and the Frost Bank Tower is the 5th tallest. There are also at least 6 more buildings that will eventually push the Frost Bank Tower to 11th tallest in Austin, which will also mean we'll have 11 buildings over 500 feet and 23 over 400 feet. That'll be 21 400 foot buildings since 2004, and I'm only listing the ones that are closest to happening within a year or two.

Right, but Houston has 2 towers above 990'. How many does Philly have?

Kevin, that pic taken behind Kerbey Lane is amazing. Also, I didn't know the Fairmont has a spire. Haven't been downtown in over a year, so it's time to take a tour. Might even ride the rail in from the Crestview Station. I'm terrified of driving and parking downtown. Walking is fine, of course.
